I used to fly on one of these (or an earlier version) from Fresno (California's San Joaquin Valley) to Mammoth Lakes, then Bishop.

Over the Sierra, then land on a short, north- south runway paralleling US 395 with a gusty, snotty crosswind coming down off the mountains.

The pilots loved it.
Cockpit door was always open, they'd diddle with the control wheels trying to keep the plane over the runway, and reasonably level.
Those turbo props were perfect for that kind of service
We'd chat. Sometimes I was the only passenger on the plane.

It didn't last long,, until they ran out of someone's money.

In our City of Kitchener an acre would be $2 Million

In Toronto that would be $4 million..

Over the pandemic I picked up about 8 Coleman stoves and a few Lamps Probably spent less than $150 Mighty Hudsons Bay Pessos for all.

These all have been made to work so the bits are good, but now I need to Parse it down to 2 or 3 go to stoves for the assorted campers..

The Coleman #326 is a 3 burner beast - I have 3 of those to build into one.

The #312 is a heafty 2 burner that can hold a full size griddle.

The 400A is a nice little single burner which was the most expensive at $50

Rebuild time... The ones left I will probably sell off.

This Dutch gal got me thinking back to how much I enjoyed reading "Zen & the Art of Motorcycle Maintainance" back when there wasn't a YouTube (nor internet, &c.) and Googol was just a big number.

I enjoy her production quality, her bubbly good humor, but mostly her silences on glides through pleasant landscapes, . . . so I subscribed. I can hope that like "Zen" she might also scratch my philosophical itch.
