Thread: Charlatans, Hucksters, and Highway men

Paul is reasonably well-known in Granada where he, and roughly 25 other expat real estate agents have listed the same overpriced houses for the better part of a decade.

Even though some of the places are quite large square-foot wise, it's mind-bending to think that some people are willing pay 450k+ for a house at this point in time (not all are that highly priced).

If you judged Nicaragua based off of real-estate listings in Granada and San Juan del Sur no one would blame you if you still thought it was 2015.

Well - He is back again.

Looks like now he wants to start a business incubator.

The guy looks like he has drive and tenacity but seems to not know that you ain't going to amount to nothing with out being on the PRONicaragua (FSLN) or FUNDIES side of the street.

It looks like he has turned off his cultural radar...

    Presented with nose pinched.

Now the intent is noble, but he comes across as very self serving.... Or am I being too harsh..

Alberta boy has a new video as well.

Funny how he thinks a country that had an insurection 24 months ago and is currently under sanction my most of hte western world is one the cusp of middle and upper class tourism and backpackers will decline.

I still believe that save for Tola and SJDS (area beaches) , Nicaragua will still probably be a backpacker / Van life / Perpetual (budget) tourist destination for the next decade - If not more...

The God of Cheap is such a magnet.

and leaving Seattle don't seem like such a bad idea.

    Sounds like many of us.

Daniel will eventually pass to his reward.
    Nicaragua has a future.

Waukesha and endless smash and grab looting will only get worse.

    Happy Thanksgiving!
Enjoy it,, next year it might be cancelled:

"This Thanksgiving, please consider some alternate options such as listening to Native speakers to broaden your perspectives, engaging and educating your families on this topic, giving back to the community or supporting Native businesses," Oregon Democratic State Senator Kayse Jama tweeted.

Yeah, that's what we are going to do. I'd rather join a smash and grab.

Even the traditional Thanksgiving question (as the bird is carved) seems racially charged:

"Do you prefer white or dark meat ?"

My response to your final question always is..... "Do you have any more Deviled Eggs?"
    Life's different here ... It's a whole 'nother pace.
