Its on a need to know basis. AA shows flights from Dec 3 on. whether they are really back or just sucking the xmas bonanza is yet to be seen. Probably sardine flights with bad seats.

Currently, the mga to vegas route is aeromex and copa. horrible prices and total times for the most part. I guess if you were awake you could sneak out of the airport and chow down in the Socalo or something for your 14 hour stopover. N/A for me, I haven't been awake since my last 2 flights.

Maybe 3 weeks in advance like the old united will help, but i am sitting on a family emergency that might not give me 3 weeks notice.

No respect, they mistook you for Rodney Dangerfield.

Noticed some cheap bad flights on aeromex. $644 rt to vegas, with 14 hour layover in cdmx on both ends. sleep in airport. I remember sleeping in airport in Ahn Ke or somewhere for a couple days 50 years ago. Big adventure, oh the frivolities of youth.

Checked on a layover, maybe a couple tourist days in Mex. No luck they have gone CS on multicity flights by pricing them out of reality. Something to keep in mind, though, Aeromex seems to be a regular.

There are some very decent $45-60 USD a night hotels within a 5-7 min van ride from the CDMX airport. If you hunt and peck you can sometimes catch the in house Camino Real for around $85, just depends on the demand, I actually got an employee a $65 a night room there in December.

BTW....I could not find any reasonable AA flights in December on their website....just $5,000 kind of prices MIA / MGA.
    Life's different here ... It's a whole 'nother pace.

In the press release it said that actual fares will not be correct until Sept 1.

We stayed at Brazil and it seemed a good businessman type hotel near the airport. CDMX generally seemed a bargain compared to Nic.--hotels, food, transport.

Chilo said nonchalantly last evening "How are flights to Managua"?

A bit of checking showed $1300 approx for a s#itty flight to Toronto, $1400 with reasonable time scale. From LIR to Toronto about 980 for a long flight (22 hrs) but only $5 more for a 14 hr flight. The best by far was a flight from LIR to Buffalo at $670.

Chilo said that Daniel would like to come up - He is not coming up when there is snow.

The $670 to LIR is OK - Buffalo airport is about an hour 30 from the house, parking is easy and a you can pick up a tank of gas (relatively) cheap. It was with Jet blue and a Dec 5 out and a Jan 7 back to avoid peak pricing(s)

Chear up, it could get worse. Went to mail a letter to the States ayer. Still no mail service unless you want to splurge usd 27 for priority mail.
Have one Nica relative coming down for xmas. Vamos a ver...
Mabe she can mail my letter on her way home.

There are a buttload of flights showing to mia, sal, mex, and panama on the mga website, plus a bunch of weird ones which must be for Undocumented Invaders, if I may coin a new term.
