Anyone...................any idea as to why............I can't see Jack's photos?![]()
No idea why DSB can't see 'em.
Jack, do you happen to know what kind of trees those are? I like the second one, it has character.
Here is a "famous" one in Diriomo. Supposed to be 150 years old!

Always loved the trees when I am visiting, I've only visited during the dry season.
One of my favorites from the Isleta boat tour in Granada.
Mr Bob.... I copied this pic off the internet.... it is supposed to be a famous tree in Diriomo for lovers. The other pics I copied off of my facebook page. Maybe you could join facebook and then you would be able to see them. Don't worry, I am sure someone ,on facebook, will want to be your friend!![]()

My sister sent me this link after I posted, on facebook, about wanting to build a house in this tree.

Ya think the idea would fly in Nicaragua?

I thought so too but I asked my wife and she said no (they have a guanacaste tree in the family's front yard) but she didn't know what type it was. I "googled" guanacaste tree and it says they grow from 25 to 35 feet tall. This tree is close to 70 feet tall. Everytime I pass by it, I imagine a house built right where the branches start spreading from the tall trunk.

Ladies and gentlemen... I believe we have a winner!

we have used this technique quite a few times in the past, actually works very good with a parents sized belt.
This is the backporch of a house here in Granada that overhangs the arroyo and has no fence or railing. I wonder if there are any kids living there.

my wife has a cousin that lives at one of these houses... its the one that has a pretty popular Fritanga in front. Can't recall the exact location.
