    Default TRN Friends.

I arrived in Granada yesterday around noon, called a member I have never met, he bought me lunch and we talked a few hours.

This afternoon I met another member I had never met, we shared a few beers and he let me take a look at his beautiful wife.

I guess you can ask JW about the "community", and how they can come together. I will say my little piece.

Those of you that do not know and have not met any of the people here, well you could not be in better hands.

Thanks, again. I am always amazed by the people I only know on the internet.

Never doubt that this is a community, one of the best I HAVE EVER SEEN.

    Thanks Friends.

It would seem that whether you live in Nicaragua or merely tasted the ambiance and the friendship of the Nicas or expats, this is a good place to get good sound information and to make lasting friends.

The part I found amazing was everyone from TRN I have met

had put their real persona into their posts. There has been no

posing or pretending. I was glad to find I was part of a

virtual community instead of a virtual fantasy

We (wife, MIL and myself) took a trip up to Leon yesterday. We try to do something every wednesday with my MIL to give her the opportunity to experience and visit more of her own country. She never has really been outside of El Guanacaste and Granada her whole life. She is very very catholic and loves to visit churches. Leon is a great place for that and we visited several.
I will post more about the trip later in my bloq but I wanted to comment here about a nice surprise we received after arriving in Leon. I gave Daddy-Yo a call and let him know we had come up and shortly afterwards he came by to where we were having lunch and graciously offered to be our tour guide. He was great with all of us and especially with my MIL and made our visit to Leon interesting and fun. We also met his wife and kids (a beautiful little family) and visited his home. We are making plans to hook up here in Granada in the near future.
Another great example of the kind of special people who subscribe to this site and who have an interest in Nicaragua. Thanks Daddy-Yo to you and your family por cuidarnos!!!!

I guess some of you realize we have been friends from another site till we found it had an agenda. For some of us over 8 years TRN rules....
