    Default Just a Blendin'

Had lots of stuff comin' to a head in the past few weeks, so today was spent acting like a Nica...or seriously tryin' to. First stop esta mañana was at the Ministerio Publico.

We had visited this office yesterday at 1 o'clock, with a great translator in tow. Couldn't accomplish what we needed that day, but were assured that if we came back mañana at 9am, our file would be ready. Yup, heard that before!

We started our day by waiting in this particular government office, one that is funded by USAid BTW. Spoke first to one very friendly fella, basically 'what do you want and why'. He said no problema, just wait. Next spoke to someone who appeared to be a lawyer asking me 'what I wanted and why'. This fella seemed keen to call on the jerk lawyer I have a problem with and said he'll call me on Tuesday with the results. I just smiled. I appreciate his enthusiasm, but I've been in Nicaragua too long to expect justice. If he can prick the SOB, that's good enough for me.

Waited and waited and waited, wondering just what could be keeping the folks from making a copy of my file. One woman came into the office after an hour and a half, and I was quickly directed to walk with her to a librería a few blocks away to get copies made. I paid 14 cordobas for my copy, and we were done. Still wondering what took so long.....

Upon leaving this office, we passed by Dr Luna's. He came rushing out into the street, so we acted like Nicas and stopped still in the middle of the road to conduct our business. Apparently, the buyers have called and want a meeting with all documents ASAP, told him to set it up, no problema. Got lots of tootin' horns as we visited...couldn't care less...just tryin' to blend! Most of the noise came from taxis anyway, and they're no one to be listened to...ever!!!

Only had to spend 4 hours in the city, but I was jonesin' for the country life and cracked open a cold Toña as soon as I got home. I do love this place, but YIKES I need my me time! Gonna spend the next 3 days on the finca and good luck gettin' me off of it!
