If I am not mistaken , and I have been before, and life ain't finished yet and I could be wrong again as yet.

But FORD did not take Obama tax money thiefed from the public till, To my knowledge they are still solvent by being on top of things.

And I must admit I owned a F150 pick up with a V8 302, to me prettiest pick up FORD ever made. BTW FORD invented the V8...

I worked at a GMC Truck dealership at the time and I know they are stronger but FORD had a prettier Truck I must admit. Mine was only transportation, it was not to go in the Log Woods with.

And GMC produced the BRIGADER GENERAL the cheapest class A convintal cab Truck in operation and initial cost, Tandem Axle to ever ride the roads AMERICAN MADE 100% With a V6 92 Detroit Fuel Squeezer and 22 inch rubber on BUDD rims.

Damn the Japanese wanted that patent and ISUZU merged with GMC to get their market share.

It does have a classy look to it! Probably the only car model that year without a running board! (I miss those!)

How well do you know your '50s cars?

(I got 75% right, but some were wild guesses)

    56%

Was @75 until the Mopars and the Desotos made me crash and burn - Studebaker was a gimmie for any Muppet fan..

There is a fellow in town driving a '52 fairlane.. But it does not stop at the car.. He also has a straw hat, pipe and checkered collard shirt to boot..

75% was the magic number for me also. Had thought I might do much better, but that was over fifty years ago!

The 'fifties were the only decade that I knew my cars reasonably well. Some of them I remembered very well from ones that my parents owned or friends of the family had. Definitely would not do so well on most of the later decades!
