    Yet another, "Jaguar Smiles" by Salman Rashdi. Relevant for an election year and there are great quotes from many of those in power in the Frente Sandinista.

    Have read this book a few times and really like it. I like the writer's work, never read the Satanic Verses for which he will always be remembered. He wrote a Kid's book I used to have in my collection.

    Reading the book you will catch a mention of the current Ambassador to the USA, and rum was involved.

    Interesting read, especially if you know some of the history.

    All of the players are still around including Rosario Murillo, Tomas Borge as well as Lumberto and Francisco Campbell. As you mentioned Francisco is the current Nicaraguan ambassador to Washington and is a true Costeño.....
