That is what happens when guys have too much time on their hands. I guess they are better off cooking in the kitchen Well the CONTENT of the speech is great at least...just thought I would shake things up for viewing enjoyment...hey it's not as bad as some Nica karaoke I've seen from a distance.

On Corn Island; how much rum does one need to buy for every gallon of paint used?

Many shades of gray, I have seen paint applied at a rate of 1 pint rum per gallon of paint, yesterday things got a little out of hand, 1/2 gallon (called an elephant foot here) rum per gallon of paint..

Next time I will hire professionals, cheaper

    Houston , we have a problem !

Clearly, we have an addiction problem on Corn Island.

I am here to help you start on a road to recovery; but you need to take the first step and I will walk with you::

    You...
    must....
    go cold-turkey...
    and take the pledge...
    >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
    No more..,.

    PAINTING !!!
No Protecto, Sur, Sherwim Williams...and stop pretending to go Managua for provisions, when you are really gathering those paint samples, color chips, etc..

As a Friend, I also pledge that I will not paint anything for one year!! That's what friends are for...Will otherTRN readers take the PLEDGE ??

I want to stop, I really do, but I can't. I need to put another coat on and paint the high stuff. Sooner this monkey is off my back the better, I have other bad habits I need to concentrate on.

Understand, this is just the front of the house. I need to at least get it presentable. I think it was Renco that once inquired about the primer job I was working on a few years back, something like I see you been painting, you run out of paint. My answer, no, just got tired of painting.

    I kinda like the color.

Why First Annual? First we all chip in $10.00 dollars each for prizes. Then have Marlies post about it on Yahoo Groups as being a traditional island rite of passage. You will immediately have 40 young female contestants vying for the coveted title of Miss Crab Soup Dancing Painter Girl. Since it is an election year, all the candidates for diputado will come by to press the flesh and hand out campaign brochures while swearing to the assembled crowd that their great grandmother won the first event in 1916.
We may even con Protecto into donating all the paint. After all how many public painting events are there to celebrate? Just save enough for my place on Brig Bay.
You'll excuse me, gentlemen. Your business is politics, mine is running a saloon.
