    Default Nicaraguans in the snow?

    Hello everyone

Here is a short video of us in the snow just outside of Los Angeles, California at Mt. Baldy. it is less then an hour drive from our home. First time for my wife and sister in law both from Managua to see actual snow falling down from the sky.

I have been seeing the latest snow (near sea level) I have ever seen in the Pacific Northwest. It is pretty and all, but I am ready for warmer weather.

I have been dealing with snow this year. Now where I live when it snows it usually all melts the same day. Much like the time it snowed in 2009 in Louisiana. But what you don't know is that it has been maintaining a temperature not Much above freezing constantly. That, coupled with rain, or snow and wind make it pretty miserable. Hard to believe I moved to this location on purpose. But one day it will be nice here and we will have the nicest weather in the country. Long warm days, that are cool enough to play sports in, and cool nights where you can just sit outside and drink beer.

You know I was in the south for a couple of years and not many nights were comfortable to sit out and drink beer. Most of the time that sort of thing was done indoors. Now here... we have a fire in a pit and all sit around it with folding chairs with music playing. If it is cool you more closer to the fire and if it isn't cool you move back. It is a nice light and a centerpiece, perhaps even a conversation piece, as in "Hey Tom, your fire is starting to die.. " I love the summers in the PNW the most. When I have been away in the summer it was all I could think about. Winter sucks though. I think of Miami in the winter.
