Default Re: Granada Finca Market for July

Thought I'd share some photos with those who couldn't make it to the market this month.

The market is held once a month in the gorgeous courtyard of Hotel La Bocona.

Some of this month's vendors had coconut oil from Pearl Lagoon, fresh seafood from Casares, dog and cat treats, etc...

These hardworking ladies are part of the wonderful staff at Hotel La Bocona.

You can also find fresh artisan breads, books in English, culinary plants from Catarina...

This vendor had handmade pot holders made by a woman's group in Matagalpa. I simply had to have a few for my cast iron pots. These skinny ones that slip over the handles are perfect!

La Mariposa joined the market for July, and we all hope they'll be back! Fresh, organic veggies at good prices; what a wonderful treat to stock up on fresh spinach now that I have goat cheese in the house all the time.

As you can see, we have alot of fun at the Granada Finca Market! I believe next month will be our 1 year anniversary...guess I better get working on something special for the advertising.

If you're in town during the second Sunday of August, come out and support your local vendors!
