    Default KW Blues festival....

Once a year there is a shutdown of the centre of the city for a no cost to the viewer Blues festival.

    http://www.kitchenerbluesfestival.com

    I
t is funded by a Pay concert on the first day and Concession proceeds.

This has been the first time since I have got back into the picture hobby since I have attended...

There are 3 public stages that run Friday to Sunday noon to 9ish and then there is a scattering of stages in about 5 to 6 local venues from 11 to 1.

The main outdoor stage in front of City Hall..

Under the tent in the central park area (Victoria park) was too slim and the tail draggers when I sauntered by.. They were fabulous.. Have to find their record on iTunes or something...

It was raining and some of the spectators were dancing in the rain (It had been a dry previous 3 weeks so the rain was well received)

When the rain cleared some just soaked up the sounds...

This fellow was a real treat to watch but I did not pick up the Band's name..

A group at one of the local pubs we caught a show on the Wed previous..

Bad Pickle - Yes I seen them at the local watering hole - Molly Blooms... https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10150352320941537.340468.519486536&type=3

    T
he second date Maria and I had was at O'tools which is now Molly Blooms .. 23 yrs ago...

Yes the other shot is Bobby's .. Only found that place last March , on a walk, when it was a nice 24C on a march day ... Seen it for years but never stepped in.

Wilson Arena is now a rec center.. But they did a good job of keeping the original structure..

Mel passed away 3 yrs back.. Mrs Angel and the Home wreckers still play the Boat house in Vic park every Sunday afternoon..

We did many family skates at teh Wilson Arena.. It has been replaced by a new year around double pad rink at the site of the old snow dump at Homer Watson and Ardelt.. http://www.theaud.ca/activa/

    I
t was two Cameras actually.. The one on the left is my 4 1/2 yr old a700 and the right is the 3 yr old a850.. But it the lenses that do the magic, not the cameras. (Took this on the patio of Bobbies after we were finished day 3 of the KBF)

Cycle clubs - Spooky - Luis (Oldest BIL here) lived about a stones throw from SCMC on Weber in the early 90's .. Built like a fort.. The building is still there but no reference to SCMC on the outside anylonger..

what a loss. a good man. hope you had the opportunity to meet him. a very warm genuine person. the camera shtuff looks beyond my point and shoot capabilities, but thanks for sharing this. the choice clubhouse was on cedar and king before and was fortified to the nines. we played for them twice at the peterborough chapter's church back in the 70's. definitely not poloroid moments.
