    Elections:

Exercise in which the government pretends to do what's democratic, the opposition pretends to oppose it, the voters pretend to vote, the CSE pretends to count them, and finally everyone comes out equally for the worse...

"Sniff! What awful fellows! So much aggression! To know that we're on their side... ...the TV, sending them good vibes!"

"Sniff! How heavy fellows! So much violence! Don't they have any respect for those we disrespect in peace?"

Look, son I'm going to explain what grace is.

You are dropping down, to just below, loosening a little...

In a way you trust, how you're accustomed to, how you find it, when suddenly you have it like this...

    You are and zap, upward!

Where did Pedro X. get the pic of La Bruja's feet for his cartoon?

Looks like we're going to have to learn new boundaries [due to the Hague's decision].

    ...If our boundaries allow it...

They say that with the new reform, the articles in the basket of basics [goods used to measure inflation] that will be taxed will be those that could be consumed by people with more purchasing power...

...That is, the "middle class" has two options: buy more expensive things and become poor, or consume like a poor person to remain middle class.

Hopefully with the same zeal that they watched the Colombian-Nicaraguan border they'll also watch this...

I have the cedula, documentation that proves who I am, expired, but at least from that, politically they extend its validity for a few more years...

    ...like to those government functionaries...

    I'll renew it tomorrow!

Apparently, there are many who used the barrier methods like this...

Three people infected with HIV in Nicaragua every day!

Gonorrhea, syphilis, and herpes are also in play!

    Adolescent pregnancies are increasing!

Worry about the number of single mothers!

HPV, linked to cervical uterine cancer, is more common all the time!

Sexual maturity is starting earlier all the time!

Machismo and moral fanaticism make many sexual illnesses go untreated and propagate in secret in fear of what they will say!

    The balance...

    Partisan opposition

Whining and excuses, vs. strategies and actions.

Budget gap caused by increase in Councilors

"And how are we supposed to fill that?" says the town.

"Don't worry, I have everything under control," says City Hall. "Give me your wallet."

Hey, I dig the 'toon of 12-03, a couple up, of the contented playboy wearing condoms on his ears. ("Hear no evil") Of course, any dude with ears like that should cover them with something.

How bad has the STD scene gotten here? Mothers out of wedlock, babes having babies, dads long gone, continues - that's what Nica grandparents are for - but the problem probably hasn't grown as fast as it has in the States, where government is the grandparent of choice.
    I never met a Semite I didn't like.

    Caution: animals in the road

Sure, they're those that pass on the right...

...or those that drive while chatting on the phone...

...or those that walk drunk, or don't use a helmet...
