Just before Halloween in Toronto about 10 to 12,000 loonies dress up as Zombies and walk the streets of Toronto. It is about a 7 Km walk and the get ups are pretty gory.. I went last year, will probably go again this year.. Crazy people in Toronto are still very safe to be around..

I went to a little hole on the wall pub in a local park on Sunday... The band is a pick up group . Some good music..

They also serve a Poutine that kicked a$$... Which made me think I have to try Poutine nica style next trip... I thinking Sweat potato fries and Quahada (sp?) instead of Potato fries and cheese curds...

This is my Buddy Darren Frost. As a teen he worked at my fathers greenhouse and we always told jokes together.. He is now one of the most respected comics in Canada.. Not the richest, just most respected.. You can google his acts, but be warned it would make a long shoreman blush..

His comedy does cut through a lot of BS...

He drops by the local comedy club from time to time..

As we arrived in August 2010 there was this fellow on the pick up zone of the Airport. Chilo and Marta were all gaga and asked me to take a picture with him.

He is a folk singer, Carlos Mejia . He played a small venue in Kitchener something like 12 ot 15 yrs ago where Chilo got tickets.



He has a family member on flickr that does some really great freelance work (Jorge Mehjia) http://www.flickr.com/photos/mejiaperalta . If you want to get good smatterings of Cultural, political and just general goings on in Nica you should sign up to get his feed of images..

Sad news this week.. My second favorite film, Neopan 400 by Fuji, was discontinued . I still have 20 rolls so I can not justify picking up more, so now I guess I will have to find a "New" second favorite..

My Wife's church invites this band of Mariachi's to events from time to time. They have also done some 15'th Bday , 18th Bday and other functions.

The group is quite good with 3 central members and grows up to 7 from time to time..







Oh and Flicker says it will shut down from 4PM to 10PM PST on the 25th so the thread will have a bunch of "No image" blobs during that time.
