    Super Nationalism

    The classic tale of "superheroes"

A ruler with a pint of cure and anxious followers becomes... ...Uribeman, the "man" of Colombia

"Nicas will give back the Colombian Sea to us at the point of gunships!"

A greedy populist dictator becomes... ...Blunder Man, the supreme dictator of Nicaragua

"Let's take back Guanacaste from the Ticos!"

["Con pinta de cura" was tough to translate. I found some uses of the phrase in a web search but an English version eludes me. It's used to describe a person, apparently in a negative way. Anyone have a clue?]

    Utility

"I'm the cunt-ruler's adviser 'on everything'." [With La Chamuca, even to the corner]

Chavez lives like a little bird

Ortega is my shepherd, I shall not want

With my apologies to the little monkeys of the "4th Reich" of the pidgeon (that are cynical, but gracious)

I'm a little late tuning in here, but this Guillen is brutal! Keep 'em coming.

I always got hung up on the 'gender' of Spanish nouns, e.g.,
El mico is 'masculine' and la polla is feminine. Go figure.

Many Nicas love to ridicule la chamuca. I saw a phony ad on Facebook for a brand name "no-tangles" hair conditioner. La chamuca had applied it to her abundant underarm hair and then marveled at how easy it was to comb it.

Foul 'toon, Sr Guillen! Nicaragua as a garbage dump vs CR all neat & tidy.

True, this is a first impression for many gringo visitors. However, stay a while and it's evident to all, one country has a soul, is alive, in contrast to the other which is sterile, and whose 'beauty' appears the work of morticians.
