    Default Mysteries of fedex

Why does it cost exactly $120 to send a postcard-sized letter by Fedex from Toronto to Managua when it costs $57 to send the same letter the other way?
My first guess was labour costs. But $63 in labour costs for a one-page letter?
Sending the same letter by Correo Nicaragua is practically free but will take 3 to 4 weeks to arrive.
Does anyone know a service that delivers mail to Canada or the US for less money and less time?

What I found absurd was that sending a letter from Nicaragua to the US by FedEx was significantly cheaper than sending a few 24x36 drawings, even though they fold down to the same size and weigh virtually the same. So sweet talk the agent into charging "letter" rates when you can.

Sorry, I miswrote this. I should have written, "delivers mail from Canada or the US to Nicaragua for less money than fedex and in less time than mailing it through post office channels."

Try DHL. They sometimes have better rates to (stereotypical) "Parts unknown"

    Just checked..

    http://www.dhl.com.ni/en/express/shipping.html

Managua to my abode, 8.5x11x 0.1" (envelope) = $C1600 for World Wide express and $C1013 for express envelope.

    'bout 1/2 price of Fedex..

Never mind looks like I goofed.. Using your $57 from Nica to TO it looks like DHL costs more...

DHL site would not calculate the same package from TO to Managua..

My Sister sent me a one page document on Dec 29 of last year, a letter type from Virginia via the Snail Mail... She forgot all about it as it was not important, in April she remembered it and she asked me in a PM on FB if I received it... No I said, not as yet... That letter was delivered right to my home the next day... Makes me wonder about all this Surveillance going on in these day's and times.....
To be called a "Has Been" I must surmise, is much Greater than to be called a "Nevah Been"... JW...
