    Default Keeping vampire fleas away

Melissa, my wife made a pasta sauce last night with garlic and butter, and on your advice (somewhat) I gave our dog a clove of the cooked garlic in his food bowl. I didn't think he'd eat it but he scarfed it right down. One clove should be more than enough for a 6 pound dog, I presume.

About 12 or 15 years ago I was plagued with ameboic (sp) disentary every time I turned around it seemed..

I tried all the bitter nasty modern meds for it and finaly one of my Dr.'s told me to swallow whole cloves of garlick and just get used to it like everybody else.

I guess I got used to it, but I do continue to eat a lot of the Garlick in my diet.

I eat lots of garlic and I feed it to my dogs.

My dogs have never been plagued by fleas even when I have seen neighbors dogs eat up with them. I also spray around the house frequently so that plays in to. The dogs have been eat up with ticks time to time but fleas leave them alone.

Garlic is so good! We had a tick infestation about 2 weeks ago, pulling maybe a half dozen to a dozen off the dogs a day. Started them in on a tsp of chopped garlic right away, 2 days later, only Bocephus still had ticks. Now, they are completely gone. Mother Nature rocks!

I was just fixin' to ask about the Blasted Ticks.. My little puppy is eat up with them bless his heart. I am gone throw the Garlck to him and see..

I washed his little butt down this AM with White Magic (Magica Blanca) cloro and left it on him. He did cry a bit about it, but I asked him,"You would rather the IODINE?"

He shut his mouth on that one...

JW, I give mine (from 55lbs to 90lbs) a tsp of chopped, fresh garlic for 1 to 2 weeks to make sure to get rid of any eggs. Most of mine don't have a problem chowing down, but that dang Bocephus has to be wrestled with.
