    Default Vinyl patch kit...

B-I-L is staying at S-I-L for a while as we visit as well..

Apparently his inflatable mattress has a slow leak from some other extended family visiting on Sunday (Imagine 3 under 10 nica kids discovering how bouncy an inflatable bed is...)

Visits to Masaya Market and the new Sinsa in MGA have drawn goose eggs for vinyl patch kits...

    Suggestions??

    Thanx for any help..

My first thought is to talk with the bicycle repair guys. If they don't have it or know where to find something, they can probably improvise something for you.

Here is how we do it, to repair bike tubes we use a piece of an old tube, Nicaragua rule #1, never throw anything away. Then use either "crazy" glue or "resistol" (the stuff Glue Sniffers use, usually sold in repurposed baby food containers).

I brought down a few pack of "cold" patches and I think they are available here as well, Like Mel says, check the bike guys, they are your best bet.

I do not know if you will find in in a Marine supply store in MGA or not..

If you do it WILL work on most anything.

    3M 5200 MARINE SEALANT

If anyone ever decided to import it in the size tubes like the Silicon sealant it would sell like hotcakes.

I have repaired unsalvagable tubeless tires with the stuff.

I have to agree.....5200 is some great stuff.
    Life's different here ... It's a whole 'nother pace.

5200, yeah, stuff will actually set up under water. It does have a shelf life, squeeze the upper end of the tube to make sure it is still soft.

I would try a piece of that super sticky aluminum tape that use for patching zinc roof. I use it for a lot of odd jobs, the adhesive is very strong.
