Oh I know it is a sad day for many in the area.

We had two fish spoters colide one time in the air 1500 feet over the sea that I was wittness to.. SAD....

My 11 year-old step-son's classmate's father was one of the pilots who died.

We saw one of the crop-duster planes flying over Leon toward Chinandega that day. A joyful sight. Manned flight sometimes seems a visible miracle here - we go weeks without seeing or hearing a plane or chopper in the skies over Leon. Just birds.

They use them a lot around Sebaco, only way to apply pesticides to the rice fields when they are flooded.

We always pass by the crop duster strip next to the Pan Am highway, headed to Esteli.

Several times I have been flying from MGA to Corn Island and seen them under us spraying the fields East of MGA.
