    Default Woke up Sunday Morning

I am staying in a small hotel and they have truly gone out of their way to make me feel at home. A 3:30am Rooster, neighbor Dogs that sometimes sing into the night. Sometimes when I wake in the night I have to look around just to be sure I am not at home in my own bed, sure sounds like home.

Sunday Mornings are always nice, the hotel is almost next to a small Moravian church, at 5am soft organ music and singing (in Miskito) begins. About to get a cup of coffee, sit on the veranda and enjoy the music and the view.

The music from the 5am service is a nice thing to wake up to, as the day progresses more instruments become involved and the volume rises, certainly not bothersome but nothing like it was at 5am. 11:45 now and it sounds like they are getting close to winding down, just heard Happy Birthday sang in Miskito.

It might be the best one, although they are all good. Hard to believe that Kristofferson (or any of us) were ever that young.

I used Google Translate to turn the lyrics into Spanish, not quite the same . . .

The evangelicals take their church very seriously here. Catholics (unless someone important died or is getting married) keep it to roughly 45 minutes. Although, I gotta say, the big catholic church in Condega gives the evangelicals a run for their money, full band. Maybe a competition thing?

There are several evangelical churches here, anyone can start one. The guy who sold me my farm started one, but, like his farming efforts, it's not doing that hot. It's pleasant to walk around on a Wed evening and listen to them. Doors are always open ..

Ariana belongs to a small evangelical congregation in RobreDalito. Shortly after leaving to live in Condega she got a call from her pastor, wondering why she hadn't been to services. The NSA could take some lessons from the Nicas in terms of intelligence gathering.

Not quite. But that seems to be the profile for Nica junkies.

Sounds like Cookshoe is staying at Motel Seis, whose motto is "we'll leave the light off for you."

Did not feel too bad about giving him the truth as the past 2 nights he has been banging on the gates at 2am to be let in and waking everyone in the Barrio up.

A few days ago there was an issue with an Asian guest, he had to be kicked out.

Shit, who would ever expect me to be the model customer. Pay my bills, buy stuff from their store, have never even turned on the TV in my room, go to bed early, I am getting soft in my old age.
