Edit - Preferably with one of the trucks - Not on a bus..

If you (that means those who do) were to drive to port... Which leg would you take to Siuna?


The route right by Matagalpa going through Waslala or the more southerly route , turning at Moy Moy through Rio Blanco?



I have always assumed the Rio Blanco was the rout I would take, but no more thought than it being a closer turn off with respect to my departure point.

I've been on a Rio Blanco bus -- got off at Boaco. It's a very nice road as far as Boaco and apparently mostly paved to Rio Blanco, with frequently enough bus service. Waslala isn't paved all the way through yet. The bus route we took cuts off the Pan American Highway at San Benito. When a friend and I went to Boaco, we were planning to go to Muy Muy and take a different bus to Boaco, but were told to take the Managua bus and transfer to a bus for Boaco there. The road is new and goes through cattle country. Looks like from the map that you can also leave the PanAm at Puerta Viejas for Rt. 21A through Muy Muy. Either way to Rio Blanco takes you through Muy Muy, apparently.
