    Default The Quarter century mark...

So today marks a quarter century since my indoctrination to Nica-ness.

Picked Chilo up for our first date in a 1984 Mazda RX-7 that my sister had bought (she could not afford it, so I paid half) which I hoped would make a better impression than my 1979 Monte Carlo that was showing its age at 350,000 Km...

Things went well at Williams Coffee pub at the local mall (which is still around today)

    So far.. So good..

Congratulations! Williams, haven't seen that name in awhile. You're in the K/W area, correct?

Well - I forgot another quarter century mark.

July 18 we were married for 25 years.

No hype, no fanfare - We laid off of the facebook trumpeting and just went out for dinner.

My Mother took us out for dinner last week along with my Sister and her husband (Who are 25 yrs in the next few days as well) and that is about it.

    Onward to 30 -

Just reading the bit here about the coffee pub in the mall - It was torn out 18 months ago for I think a jewelry store.

Marking time is such a joy - especially over a good meal!

What it means is that you two have been legally hitched for 309 lunar cycles, or 9,131 days. Your 10,000 day diaversary will be Dec 4, 2019, perhaps to be enjoyed in your new abode in Nicaragua.

To keep matters in perspective, your 25 years of wedded bliss (& whatnot) is but one ten-millionth of our galactic year - a mere wink.

For two hearts - poetically speaking - beating as one, that's more than 13 million heartbeats. Life is in the living, so keep those bio-engines stoked with good meals!
