IRS Getting Pressured To Crack Down On Televangelists
http://washington.cbslocal.com/2015/...s-john-oliver/
political correctedness has run wild and the outrage police are everywhere
They can start with Rev. Al Sharpton http://www.mediaite.com/online/ny-ti...lion-in-taxes/
Pressure my ass....there is not a politician in the US that has the cajones to take on organized religion.
Televangelists are the obvious target, and deservedly so. However, as soon as any kind of action started, the Protestants and the Catholics would be up in arms and donations to keep it still born.
The only solution is a consumption tax and that means anything. But food...pay a tax. Buy a house ..... pay a tax. Buy an apartment complex...pay a tax. Buy a boat ....pay a tax. Get your teeth cleaned....pay a tax. Collect dividends or interest...pay a tax. Not necessarily a big tax, but pay a tax.
Our current tax system is insane and favors those who can afford lobbyists that will carry their interests forward through our totally corrupt politicians.
I do not blame the people working for the IRS. I do not blame the army of accountants that work at minimizing taxes. They are a result of a corrupt and flawed, out of control system that will collapse around us.
Change it now or it will collapse and anarchy will reign.
As for Al ....this admin does not have the balls to deal with him.....but he is a good start!
Life's different here ... It's a whole 'nother pace.
Looks like MSNBC has decided they would rather have money than stick with their convictions so they are making changes. The IRS better get their tax money before Al starts pulling an unemployment check.

MSNBC needs every viewer they can scrounge up. It's been a hard year.
With Al, Rachel, and Chris speaking to their unique demographic

This COULD be part of the problem:

Impressive numbers. Glad I cut the cable, internet TV is great, but I do miss all day news.
The only problem with "all day news" is that they just repeat the same three or four stories over and over and over, and there are other stories people need to know about that never get covered.
All the news thats FIT to print... I just love the Main Stream Media... NOT...
To be called a "Has Been" I must surmise, is much Greater than to be called a "Nevah Been"... JW...
That jon oliver segment was good, but i dont think any slightly hip tv host is going to influence the entire irs to do anything. No matter how many views on youtube it gets.
Jon oliver wasnt the first and wont be the last to put stupid liars on blast. As he himself put it in the segment, many of them have had high profile news segments ands movies and reporters after them, some of them even ended up getting busted, but nothing really changes....they just come back stronger than ever.
I had to refresh my memory, but yeah......anything to simplify the corrupt system we now have.
Wikipedia:
Cain stated the following summary about the 9–9–9 Plan:
Our current economic crisis calls for bold action to truly stimulate the economy and Renew America back to its greatness. The 9–9–9 Plan gets Washington D.C. out of the business of picking winners and losers, using the tax code to dole out favors, and dividing the country with class warfare. It is fair, simple, transparent and efficient. It taxes everything once and nothing twice. It taxes the broadest possible base at the lowest possible rates. It is neutral with respect to savings and consumption, capital and labor, imports and exports and whether companies pay dividends or retain earnings.[5]According to Cain, corporations would be able to deduct costs of goods sold (provided the inputs were made in America) and capital expenditures, but not wages, salaries and benefits to employees.[6] Deductions, except charitable giving, would be eliminated. The federal sales tax would not apply to used goods. Cain also said that the 9–9–9 Plan would lift a $430 billion dead-weight burden on the economy.[5]
