    Default Schools in Managua

Moving to Managua area in July with 3 elementary age children. I want them to learn spanish and get a decent education. Probably can't afford the highest end schools. Recommendations?

We have relatives who send their kids to Lincoln Academy. http://lincoln.edu.ni/

This is similar to private school tuition in the US:

    Monthly Tuition (12 Months)

    Elementary School (1st) U$ 530
    Elementary School (2nd – 5th) U$ 545

That $530 and $545 is for the year right?

I am paying for my girls 480 Cordobas a month each for the 12 months to the most expensive private Christian School in "The Port"....

Judging from their website, I'd say that's the monthly hit. Maybe 5-10% of an NGO jefe's salary & expense allowance.

May as well be on another world IMO. I pay 1200cords/mo for our 13 yr-old at LaSalle colegio in Leon. Not bilingual, tho learning English is compulsory. The only places that claim to be bilingual here are kindergarden dumps. Here they speak Spanish & cordovas.
    I never met a Semite I didn't like.
