    Default Nicaragua is for "aficionados"

Remember when Nicaragua was "the next Costa Rica"? Now, like Spinal Tap's audience "becoming more selective," Nicaragua is for "aficionados."

Clearly the travel guide Bramucci was under the influence of nicotine (Viva los puros finos de Nicaragua!!) and fine spirits (aged FdC rum) when he wrote the piece, for lovers of both mental adjustment remedies refer to themselves as 'aficionados'. (To distinguish themselves from ordinary folk getting stoned on rotgut & smokes.)
    I never met a Semite I didn't like.

I'd be surprised if the guy even went to Nica. Whole thing reads like a click-bait article. Travel writer that only hits the heavily traveled spots and uses stock photos . . ? Website probably gets paid for every time those links are hit.

"My request was denied. Politely but emphatically."
I was thinking, what is the polite correct Nica way to say !Que mierda! ?

and the drink recipe at the end was too complicated. The other day we tried pitaya fresco with brandy on ice. Another 2 thumbs up. Don't get much simpler than that, especially this time of year when you have pitayas up the kazoo,
