My wife preceded me on this trip and sprung for that service where someone meets you as you get off the plane and whisks you through immigration and customs. However much it costs, it's worth it. He was standing there with a sign with my name spelled "Jhon"but he took my older daughter and me to a "special" line for immigration (U$10 cash per person, by the way), and the line was short, only two guys ahead of us. Then he got our baggage claim tickets and with just a color description of our luggage (and "guitar case") he found them right away. Then through customs, where they wanted to see the blender we brought for my wife's aunt, and off we went to the Best Western Las Mercedes shuttle to spend the night across the street. It was 11:30pm by then, so that was a wise choice. Adjoining air conditioned rooms, kids in one room us in another. We almost missed complementary breakfast from sleeping late, it's supposed to end at 10am but they accommodated a few stragglers like us.
