    Default Building the wall

Does anyone have a cost per linear foot/meter/vara/parsec/lightyear for constructing a security fence around your property? Solid masonry or concrete up to 3-4', then steel pickets above. Razor wire at the top, of course.

A somewhat randomly chosen image from the internet:

Is this information needed for your personal needs or for political needs, eh, brother?

Walls are good! but when you find the cost you will wish Mexico was paying for them.

Be that as it may, we just finished a little project of a piedra wall. I don't have the final figures, but plan on about $30 a running foot for a solid wall, with much of the money in the foundation and the iron and concrete. In april or may we are going to do the front of our house with a design like you posted to have a little air to breath and visibility when entering and leaving the door. El Halcon also has some nice expanded metal products that we might like instead of the angular. The expanded metal has a finer look and would help keep out trash, animals , and hands.

We did our new wall and porton for privacy and security, but it is on the west side of the property and we find it has a huge advantage for shade as we move into the misery season.

It's for our property, and it'll have a great big beautiful gate. We don't actually have the perimeter dimensions yet, we only know that it's 25 varas wide or 68'-9" if my Nica-feet calculation is right, which probably depends on the moon phase and who's doing the measuring. $30 per linear foot is scary. Since it's to keep thieves out, I'll make them pay for it.

Yeah, 2k here, 2k, there it eventually adds up to a lot of money. We are looking at 4k plus to do the other side plus another gate and porton.
But look on the bright side, now i have a place to hang all my epiphytes where they don't conflict with the clothes line..

Those only work in societies that respect others' turf and observe the rule of law.

Stick a fork in us, we done, except for the serpentina. More wall = more plants. Nice to space them out a little and give them more shade and wind protection.
