Default Hard Line internet comes to Marta's house.

So on this visit we were greeted with a fancy new Claro WiFi router.

Just like my BIL's router, the password is printed on the tag on the underside.

What is the throughput? I was going to test, but Microsoft did it for me - Apparently, there was a Win 10 update between leaving home and setting up here - It pegs a 886kb/s in. Not bad. You could not watch a HD stream, but most other things it would be fine for - I have not asked what her monthly rate is yet, once the opportunity presents itself I will ask..

P.S. It is ASDL, so I do not know haw far from the main switch it is to be sure it is throttling vs distance - But it was pegged at 886 so I am leaning to throttled.

Best thing about this is the cable connection is unlimited.
The data charges on the phone modems kill you. Just like in the US.

I get 5GB month,, and spend most of my surfing time in some place with WiFi.

If I actually had internet. That tower on top of Fraile winks its red light at me every night.. I should drive back up there and measure the antennas they installed,,, I could tell if it's going to be Claro or MoviStar.

I had such great internet on the farm for so long. I have no idea what happened.
