    Default Mexican Novellas

Does anyone else have a significant other who watches Mexican novellas that exude the same horrid music repeatedly ad infinitum all day long?

Maria has discovered them or has recently discovered how much I detest hearing them.

Naive me, I did not know that such shit existed on TV (HBO).

I think our relationship has entered a new phase.

Is that all there is? Yeah, pretty much.

Fortunately, my wife hasn't been into novellas lately. Instead she watches fake real estate shows and insipid overblown talent shows in between fake news shows.

I do believe that there's a law in Mexico that says every telenovela must use the same incidental and background music.

No music. Anything gets old . Except maybe Bill O'Reilly.

The Youtube music did not sound familiar to me.

I am (we are) in a bit of a telenovella crisis.

Univision canceled its contract with Hulu, Telemundo still has a few listed soaps (5 I think) so pretty thin there.

So Maria's Hulu choices have gone from 30 to less than 5 (She has seen 2 of the 5 and is 1/2 way through the 3rd)

There were a bunch of K-soaps in Spanish (All gone) and now there are just K soaps in English but a heck of a lot less - like 7 or 8 and she has seen them all.

Netflix (Canada) has 3, and she is 1/2 way through one.

I thought I would torrent some but the pickings are very very thin for Spanish soaps, but there are a few K-soaps.

THe 8' dish has lost tracking to Galaxy 17, so it looks I have to play dish monkey to get a connection for the Univision channel in Albuquerque again for her to get back to a regular soap fix. The Univision and Telemundo sites will let you watch but you have to log in with a US cable provider billing number so SOL there.

Even the Ubiquitous "Kodi" (that does get Canal 4 and Canal2 from Managua) is thin, very thin, on Novella channels. They used to be a dime a dozen.

They seem to have been locked up good.

The only thing that will tear her away from the grandbabies is getting nome at 8 pm to watch the telenovelas.
Sickening, she says my war movies are violent, but for shear violence of spirit her novelas are worse!

Anyway, after 8 days the baby and stepdaughter got sprung from the hospital with an admonition to not let babies drink Esteli tap water without boiling it. dpn't let them drink frescos at restaurants, and by all means no cacao con leche at restaurants. M. came out the worse during the 8 days, worrying herself sick about things she can't control.
