    Default Tiscapa Trail

On March 17th, I met up with a friend (Meylin) to walk the newly opened to the public Tiscapa trail. I've been above Tiscapa many times, and I've taken photos from the Sandino and from the highway around the lagoon, and I remember thinking (every time) about going down into the lagoon. Well, not I got my chance.

We had to leave our names and ID numbers on a notepad to get in, but we weren't charged anything. There's not a lot to this trail. It drops down near the water and then loops all the way around. That being said, it's pretty down there. I'm glad that I was able to explore it up close.

For those who can't go in person (which I highly recommend as it's a quick, easy, and free walk), here are the photos that I took:

The picture that I look of a concrete wall with a drainage hole is the only fragrant part of the trail. There's a narrow bridge in front of where what smells like sewage runs into it. It's a small enough stretch that it'd be possible to hold your breath and avoid any ripeness.
