Today's is a bit of a lame post as it is just the trailer.

This is the promo bit for the "The long way up" - Back in days of ol and we were razing Doniston, the subject of overland travel came up and with that a link to the Long way round motor cycle trip where Obi Wan (Ewan McGregor) and his buddy circumnavigated the planet (well the land route anyways) I think it was on Hulu at that time and the series itself was shot in 2004. They did another down through Africa in 2007

Fast forward to 2019 and the join up again to bike north from the Sothern tip if Argentina to LA. They di the trip on new (at the time) Electric Harlys' and 2 of the 4 support vehicle are Rivian Pickups. Somehow Rivian funded part or all of the electric hook ups down along the route.

To watch it you either need Apple TV+ or to torrent it like I did - Got through episode 5 of the 11 and it is really good. If you do download it be sure to find the 1080 variant as the views are epic at times.

I am kinda puzzled why he did not mention the Sequoia. It is a truck that is almost as durable as the LC and priced almost equivalently. There are many stories of Sequoias going over 500,000 miles.

Those, I do see a lot of. We rented one once and my wife didn't like it. Not that we could afford one anyway.

There have been a few nice candidates for rebuild of BJ40's and FJ60's on the Nica buy sell lists.

Almost nice enough to buy for restoration - But too many things on the go these days - Maybe it is something to keep me busy in 2023 if I am still alive or wanting to poke my head out from a cement bunker burred in the ground

ASPW is processing some older footage and he put this together from a rebuilder in South Africa
