Kind of like that weird reality show about the family homesteading in Alaska?
It was so unbelievable that it was addictive.

Tom could start with building the stairs from the beach.
That would be good for several episodes.

You know, you can do all this back to the land stuff near Kingman, Arizona with more perks and fewer problems.
No Transito, no migracion, no Nica Spanish, no giardia, no Sandinista oligarchs who are above the law, no BS, no Alaska winters.
I know a guy who did it. After 4 years he got tired of the adventure and moved back to town.

    Just saying.

Buddy there (Shawn) is only 35 min out of a town that has Walmart, Canadian Tire and Tim Hortons. About 3 hrs north of "T'ranna" (Toronto) So wilderness is a bit of a stretch.

You can get land up with Da Moose and Da Bears for $100 an acre without road access (In by ATV) or $300 with road access. But they are 40 , 80 or 160 acre parcels.

Northern Ontario is remote but hardly wilderness , unless you are up in Moosenee

    This is David McLuckie

He is a cheery Scott, in Scotland surprisingly, who's accent and quirky way of looking at things makes me chuckle.

Builds sheds, fixes Mum's car, buys and reviews diesel fired heaters (how I found his channel) and just random stuff.

Listening to this fellow he strikes me as someone you could have 1 ,3 , 7 pints with in a local pub and have a right proper laugh all evening.

I always wanted to go up to Hudson Bay.

$12k for 40 acres with road access, Canada is the next Costa Rica!

Costa Rica with frostbite, da moose, and da bears.

I'd rather watch Scottie than search for a troubleshooting guide to kitchen appliances.

I'm currently detoxing from my Youtube addiction since the house move. Busted my Roku box and have been TV free for a few weeks. Will buy a Roku TV one of these days. Good to see that 3 channels I subscribe to have already been posted up in this thread.

Figured this one would fit in here. Bit south of Nica in Panama but Mantzel does a lot of unique projects.

    This is Scotty

Raised in Niagara Falls NY, he now lives in Houston. He looks to be 7 foot tall of character in a 5'10 frame :-)

Typically dumps a video or two a day on fixing cars (Claims he has been fixing cars for 51 years.

Typically sensible info and troubleshooting steps and the videos where he is not ranting on how bad a certain design is, some good information.

This is Oswaldo Antonio Bojorge Chamorro

From time to time he posts his own (i.e. commissioned by the owner) land for sale, other times he posts for a company he is loosly affilated with , Palmira Real Estate in Masaya

I think we have been following him for 5 or more years now.

The indirectly helped us find our plot - We went to go see them for one of their Lotification plots which is just behind where we are building now. Went to the office 3 times (No one there the first 2 times) then were given really poor mind share when there was actually someone at the office, we just decided to go look for our selves - That is when we found our plot right beside their development

He seems to have done some what well over the years with his first videos taken as he parked his bike and poor cell phone video walking through occupied houses filming things. He now drives a car, arranges for places to unoccupied and has a much better camera and has snazzy graphics in his listings.

the owner of our lotificacion is doing well to. His lawyer claims not to represent him, he doesn't answer his phone , and everybody has forgotten where he lives. Onward to more victories.

This is Peter ... He is a radio tech in Germany - and he is damn good.

There are 200 published over the past 4 or 5 years. He is thorough, methodical and almost always successful, although there was one Yaesu he recently tried to fix that was royally screwed and had to say beyond repair. I have a FT 747 Yaesu where the encoder went south on - One of Peter's videos allowed me to bring it back to life with a Bourn replacement.

The lab it self is packed with Rode and Schwartz test equipment (Top notch) and other home built items.

AND - Listening him say the word "Watt" sounds like a page out of Dr. Strange love . But hey, his English is miles and miles above my German.

If you hate detail and just want a skimming over of the details, his videos are NOT for you.... Unt here he iz...

The owner (the person who developed the plot for the 24 lots) still lives within the compound so we know where to find them.

Recent revelation is that they are Sandie - Die in the wool or sunny day Sandie we do not know yet..

This is Joe and Zach survival

While not THAT much survival, the draw for myself is the tent they have in northern Minnesota. Fay the Wuck up there - it is a tent more in permanent sense as it is insulated, wood floors, a solid door and a steel roof. I am pretty sure I have been catching snippets of his / their setup for almost 5 yrs if not more.

Something like this would be cool to set up like a Air BnB under the Glamping subcategory. (Tent, lake / pond / Firepit / BBQ etc etc) Well actually more of a redneck Glamping I guess.

Ahhhh . One of my Faves ...

Accion 10 news. On our (my) first and second trips and Chilo was spending endless hours reconnecting with people she had not seen for many many years I watched them.

Even in the Youtube age their upload schedual was dismal - Some times one a week, sometimes 3 some times none. Since summer 2018 it seems to be steady 3 or 4 U/L a week if not every day.

They have recently toned down pixeising cadavers under trucks - People yelling with an arm chopped off and holding back from interviewing people as they are awaiting the Bomberos to cut them out of the wreck.

    I love Accion 10

This is Apr 30th new cast

So today is the Anithisis of Action 10

El 19 - What a wet towel channel - Dull bland - Party line drivel...

So why post it? - Well just to reference the view counts - Hardly ANYTHING has broken 500 views in the past year - Even Rosario's intelectual wanderings get sub 100 views some days..

You really have to wonder why they even continue...

Just a link to their channel home page as there is no video of note to share...

    El 19

    This is special.

Frankie Macdonald - He is a challenged fellow that has a love weather, Living on the east coast he stumbled into the knack of reporting the weather by "His very own weather channel"

He does US and Canadian weather - Searched for a Nicaraguan report but the Youtube algorythm just found Hurrican Otto grom 3 yrs back.

Social blade shows 2K to 39K a year - Splitting the middle at 20K US, about $26K cdn would make a livable wage for Frankie.

So I will do two links - 1) from today and a storm off of India and 2) from Hurricane Otto in 2016..

And if you listen for it you will find that he has a soft spot for cases of Coke and Pepsi.

Oh yea - I forgot VB only allows one video per post - Will add as the next post.

Eyeballs on screen - It looks like he is quirky enough to get the views and ad revenue is split as a magic formula of views and time viewing...

Just read the financial reports for Alphabet (Google, Youtube et al) - It is in the 100's of billions of revenue with 10's of billions in profit...

Now if a mentally challenged fellow can make a living doing what he loves within the bounds of Capitalism I think John Smith would be proud.

To me it is a reflection of a society of bored, over indulged people with too much money and too much time on their hands buying too much sh*t.

And lets face it.......his information is readily available elsewhere and it is the "strangeness" that people are tuning into and I find that a little disconcerting.

Kudos to the guy doing it and I wish him continued success....ya gotta do what ya gotta do.

I could take about ten seconds of Frankie. Couldn't understand a word he said. If he makes good money off that, I'm happy for him. The rest of us have to make a living the old-fashioned way.
