That knee on the upper back is a common,, tried and true restraint. Combined with handcuffs in back, it provides an effective measure of control. Chauvin's variation made for some really bad optics, especially when Floyd died.
We still haven't seen the toxicology report, and probably won't until the officers go to trial.

You don't see the video prior to this,, trying to get the suspect (now unfortunately for everyone deceased ) into the squad car.

During the so called nine minutes,, While Floyd was saying "I can't breathe!",, the officer was saying "Are you going to get into the car?"

It was a very unfortunate accident. All Chauvin wanted to do was get him into the car, get him to the precinct house, get him booked for the forgery, go get a beer and try to forget what he has to do for a living,, and who his clients are.

All this for a counterfeit $20 bill.

Takeaway--ex-cons with heart problems should not pick fights with police. Not to mention the drugs--the store owner who called the police thought he was drunk. We mau never know what really happened because I think they are over charging them to try to get a plea bargain so they don't have to risk a public trial.

China gets a pass on "racism" because they are not white. Lotta Tibetans and Muslims know what they are really like.

Anyway, it seems covid is not going away soon. Spain is coming out of lockdown and trying to start their tourist industry soon. First battle is to remove the 14 day isolation for foreigners and then convince others countries it is safe to go there.
Consulate sent another email today, fishing for people who want an evac flight from Eastern. Most regulat airlines have bumped their flights to at least July.

Yeah, all Floyd wanted was change for that $20 so he could go buy a dime bag and get high.

I have an Estelí friend who finally got the Covid, and is coming out of it.
She's thirty, with good habits and nutrition. It sounded like a pretty light case.

She gave Krisnia an English lesson last Monday,, and I haven't heard from Krisnia since Thursday, so she might be dealing with it too. If all the young people get it by end of June, there won't be anyone to infect the oldsters in isolation. It should be spreading like wildfire by now.

And maybe planes will start flying mid July.

The white West, Europe, got onto an imperial fever conquering and establishing colonies around the world from the 15th century to near modern times. Their tropical properties in the new world required those who could withstand the heat to work, to produce. And it so happened that Arabs had or could readily get a lot of black slaves to do the job.

The Chinese never joined this imperialist fever. They had all they wanted, they built a wall to keep foreigners out. (Ditto Japan, Indochina, &c.) But the white imperialists outgunned 'em and broke down the doors. After a couple centuries of eating WW shit, they decided they could beat the West at their own game of global trade and capital investments, but instead of discontinuous piecemeal conquests, they began their Belt & Road plan to subjugated the inferior races.

On Bannon's War Room - Pandemic they're saying it may have been the CCP's fentanyl he was on. When the Brits had nothing China wanted for their tea, they hooked some Chinese on opium and got the tea and eventually Hong Kong. Is turnabout fair play?

So Daniel went to take some cash to SIL Marta - Each of the extended family pays a $100 a month to keep her head above water - It works out to 4 months a year for us. Daniel stopped to talk to the lawyer lady (from 6ft) and she was telling him about the neigbourhood to Daniels back that he just walked through - East of maxipali north of the stream - 12 people there dropped in the past 13 days.

He walked home by a different route.

This graphic tells it all. One of the points Berenson makes in his Amazon booklet is,, the largest number of deaths were in nursing homes. Although a few live on for years,, the average longevity is 4 months.

These were frail, sickly,, people,, many of them.
