Norman Downs "Capt D"
A legend on the Coast, Norman Downs owner and long time Captain of the Capt D cargo vessel died today. Norman was a former mayor of Corn Island, involved in many projects all over the Coast and of course legendary Coast Captain.
Norman had been in poor shape for many yrs he had a few major strokes, not sure of the details yet.
He died in a Miami nursing home where he had been for a few yrs I believe. Sound like his body finally gave up.

In any other place in the world, that would be a hell of a business opportunity for someone.
It's not hard to envision what could become of Nicaragua under the right circumstances.
