    Default Quequisque

One of the delicious food items of Nicaragua is a tuber called quequisque. Now lots of folks here cut them up for soup, but I like them much better as chips. In fact, I've been able to completely get away from prepackaged potato chips just by making these at home.

Sliced thinly and fried up, these make a healthier and much tastier treat than ordinary potato chips. They are so buttery that I only add a light dusting of salt to bring out their full flavor. Their pretty pink color is a nice change for a summertime buffet, as well!

Gee, that looks good. What do they cost in the store?

Not sure, but buying them from street vendors is probably the cheapest way to go.
