I would recommend a really good shipping agent in Managua. She is a friend of the family, completely honest, and is bi-lingual. Her contact information is:
Ports International

Tom,
How have you shipped items out to the little island? Did you go Manuaga, Rama, Bluefields? or were you able to ship directly from the states to Bluefield?
Never leave fun, to look for fun
just shipped about 700 pounds of school supplies to Big Corn and it went from Miami to Bluefields to Big Corn. My friend in Miami handled it so I do not know who the carrier was. However, there are carriers that do this and I will get them for you and post it.
OK then...I contacted Sonia and she suggested Bernuth Lines out of Miami.

HHBob, I just spoke with the shipping agent here in Port. his advise is to make a reciept to the director or who is responsable for the school as a donation and include make model and serial numbers of the unit.Originally Posted by Huehuete Bob

There should be NO Monkeying around of this....being a donated educational aid.

correct....we made sure that everything was made known to the persons responsible for the school and that the stuff was donations for the school. It went smoothly and the kids now have the stuff.
