    Default Morning Fishing Trip

Capt Joe drove by this morning & as is so typical here something
materialized from nothing. We had been discussing a trip for a good
while but weather & schedules kept us from making it.

Joe drove by this morning & saw me standing in the road, pulled over
& asked what I was doing, I replied nothing, just standing in the
road & talking on the cell phone, he said wanna go fishing & I was on
    it like white on rice.

We left around 8am & were back by a little after 11am, we bagged some
nice Spanish Mackeral & a few Kingfish, for a spur of the moment trip
    we made out nice.

We trolled just a short ways offshore & the bite was good. Joe has
been getting some hits & losing baits & suspects the culprit is
Sailfish, after this morning I agree. Joe knows fishing & is
currently having a bigger boat built (the current one is great), he
wants to explore some bigger water & see what is waiting out there. I
was excited to have that Penn rod & reel in my hand, it has been a
while, most of my recent trips have been handlining, which I enjoy,
but it is nothing like having the power of a big Penn positioned in a
    fighting belt.

eeuuuuwwweee, Kingfish head soup, Gaston style, (Corn Island Boy from 1920) relocated here to Puerto Cabezas.

He cooked one up here, that after eating, I had to look a hammock to rest my bones....

It was really a heavy midday meal, mixed with a good dollop of FDC, and in all honesty made me quite amorious with my Miskito Indian Princess later in the night.

Gaston and I send saludos to you and Mr. Marvin...

Sometimes spur of the moment things turn out great....

Tell Gaston Hey from Marvin & Myself. Ike is doing surgery on the fish as I write & I suspect that the heads will soon be taking a long hot bath.

Have some kids get a dozen live ballyhoo and slow troll them on the surface. Then you will know if there are sailfish around.
    Life's different here ... It's a whole 'nother pace.

Ya see...I knew óle LCT was a pro...Fresh live bait, and even has suppliers lined up...You Rascal, some would consider that cheating.
