looks way out there, wonder what the easiest way to get there is.

Default it is past La Dalia..

I was told it's on the road to Bull Bull.

Go through Matagalpa, past El Tuma then on through La Dalia. It's beautiful in that area, stays fairly green all year.

    Default Ecolodge

This area is SO WORTH THE EFFORT. Beautiful part of the country and gives you a chance to see the "real" Nicaragua, there is so much more than Granada and SJDS. The Ecolodge is located up in the green mountains of Matagalpa with little mountain towns peppered up the highway.

To get there you need to go toward La Dalia. There is a highway going there from the town of matagalpa. When you get to La dalia do NOT go toward Bull Bull like someone posted earlier. When you get to la dalia you will come across a roundabout and you need to take a left and keep going up the giant hill toward Rancho Grande/Waslala. Do not go to Bull Bull. From la dalia the ecolodge is probably 10 minutes, it will be on your left tucked off the highway a little bit, but you will see signs.

From Managua I would venture to say this is about a 4 hour ride in a private care. Maybe a little less. But the country is beautiful and you won't regret the effort.
