Default Warden advisory Aug 19 08

    Dear Wardens,

I hope you are all doing fine.

We're interested in putting together a townhall meeting at the U.S. Embassy shortly after our new Ambassador arrives. It would be an RSVP event open to all U.S. citizens in Nicaragua and their immediate family members. American citizens would have an opportunity to meet the new Ambassador and our consular staff. We would, of course, talk a bit about voting, federal benefit services and crime/security issues and set up booths to help with last-minute voting ballot requests.

Before we got too far into our planning we wanted to doublecheck with you all that you'd be willing to help us advertise this event and also get your feedback as to whether a Thursday or Friday evening (6 to 7:30 PM) would yield the most attendees. The dates we are considering are September 4, 5 or 19.

Let me know what you think.

    Thanks,

    Lara

La Chamuca thinks Nicaland revolves around her.

El Greco and others, why not you go to the Embassy of Panama there in Miami and find out information about how they register and count votes from Panamanians living outside their country. They have the software. Or you can Google Tribunal Electoral Panama.

Why allow the likes of la Chamuca set the agenda? As long as Nicaragua allows the 16 years olds to vote and exclude others, Nicaragua will continue to have leaders like the Ortegas.

Then set up a website and start a campaign to change the current election set up. Of course, you know you will have to start making a king size straight jacket and haul off Roberto Rivas.

Start with what you want to accomplish and then work you way back to the starting point. Go one step at a time. Expect detours and potholes on the trip. If you have the attitude it can't be done then it won't be done.

    Or just stay pissed.

Slim, I don't like that idea. I love it!

Count the votes, whether they are accepted or not. Show the poker hand, and make them play their hand.
