The Miskito Alan Memorial Calendar for 2009

As JPJW posted, Alan Bowie's resting place could sure use a little attention. Even William Walker has more to mark his grave than Miskito Alan.



We've taken a few donations so far, but here's something you can do and get something in return.

With Marisol's permission, I've put together a collage of photos of Alan, his family, and some of Alan's favorite places, and made it into a calendar for 2009. The calendar shows US holidays, beginning of each season, and daylight savings time.

If you follow this link you can purchase an 11"x17" print of it for U$14.99, with 100% of the profit going to a fund to get Alan a nice marker.

I have been on this Atlantic Coast of Nicragua for 15 years and I love the people here and on the Pacific and I will die here.
I went 2 times to Costa Rica in 1997 (2 times = 1st and last) and I would never go back to that country.

What's the status on the memorial? How about a fundraising thermometer on the front page like the Jerry Lewis telethon?

The amount received through Paypal is only a portion of the total, so I don't know the total. When JW gets his sorry ass back online , we'll have a better idea.
