Default Young Protestors face Violent Sandinistas in front of "Canal 4"

    http://www.elnuevodiario.com.ni/nacionales/28539

A group of young university students known as "Movimiento Juvenil No" were protesting the Ortega government in front of the "Canal 4" building today, when they were violently forced away.

Staff from "Canal 4" (which is partially owned by Daniel Ortega) and other unidentified members came out because they were upset with the signs that the students were holding and they violently assaulted the 20 some students. The students began shouting "Not to Dictatorship", "No to Manipulation of the Media" and other chants.

FSLN member of the Asamblea, Evert Cárcamo, was seen on various television channels hitting one of the protestors. Then Edgardo Cuarezma, the Political Secretary of Managua for the FSLN and advisor for the Alexis Arguello Campaign, surfaced with several members of the FSLN community and forcefully pushed the students 2 blocks from the building. Several students were whipped, kicked and punched.

Everth Cárcamo says that he punched the young protestor in the face and reacted in this manner because the kid called him “vice pandillero”.

If you get the news from Radio Nueva Ya! you will learn that the "Rightists" Assaulted the staff of Canal 4. However that is the title and the summary of the report, I suppose they are thinking up their official report.

MultiNoticias Canal 4 claims that the group of protestors were lead by Róger Arias, whom was part of the hunger protest with Dora María Téllez. The came to Canal 4 to intimidate and threaten the journalists of Canal 4.

They claim that the residents of Barrio Altagracia were the ones that got rid of the protestors. They also claim that one of their journalists, Antenor Peña Solano, was shot in the leg a couple of weeks back by the same group. They claim that the signs these protestors were holding were of violent nature.

Then they go on to mention a few of the recent violent atacks by the right wing protestors.

Canal 2 was just showing video of the protestors getting whipped with belts and violenty beaten by several big time members of the FSLN, the protestors were simply chanting with their signs.

Saw one member of the barrio grab a sign break it in half and start hitting a protestor with it. Then he chased him down into the front patio of a house and started kicking him.

    Thumbs down Spin spin spin

I watched it live on Canal 10 (with their moronic siren sound effect playing in the background). Zero violence from the students; all violent actions taken by the F$LN including violence against young women.

But remember the F$LN said they own the streets and violence is just part of their "culture". The event lasted at least 30 minutes and not a single glimpse of la policia.

So much for the government of "peace and reconciliation".

You all have fun with your US elections. This one is much more entertaining and I'm glad I have a front row seat!

Hey John, I noticed the FSLN guys are snappy dressers compared to the protesters. It is almost as though the fashion police are effecting their own kind of justice.

Where were the police? Notice how well fed the aggressors were?

One of the funny things about this is how you see Evert Cárcamo, the Sandinista Diplomat in the Asamblea, attacking these protestors whichare demonstrating one of their constitutional rights.

One of Carcamo's main goals in the asamblea is to protect the rights of children and young adults.

We have seen Ortega"s version of "democracia directo" in Leon and Managua. As long as Ortega is in power. their will be no more peacefull demonstrations from the opposition without violence from el Commandantes thugs. In November, Nicaragua will have Zimbabwe-style elections, and this poor country will become a "peoples democratic republic"-again. We are approaching end-game, folks.

    Default it will get ugly

Carcamo better watch out,I will besurprise if he does not get kill after what he did to those kids.

I am afraid this will go down hill from here on,blood will be shed and the FSLN can suffer worse than the rest.

May God help us from what's coming!!!

I wonder what the chances of USA Support. Human rights violations get noticed, and the possibility of election fraud as well. I know Bush is from a type that would most certainly be anti-Sandinista, but I cannot speak for Obama.

    Default ohhhh they will John

and this is exactly what scares me,IMO Daniel is under estimating just how pissed El Pueblo is, at least over 80% anyways, and this includes ex contras and Ex SMP soldiers(which I know a few in Esteli),that won't hesitate to fight for what's right yet again.
Unfortunately innocent people WILL die in the process, which I hope it's over before it starts.
Whata ****tie way to end the year
