    Default Eden Pastora "US Rejected"

    http://www.rlp.com.ni/noticias/general/39503

Eden Pastora Gomez, better known as "Comandante Cero", denounced the United States for not giving him a Visa to go to the US and purchase equipment for dredging the "Rio San Juan"

He says that for the past 2 months he has been looking at this equipment in the US, which is at a cost of U$800,000 dollars, which they will need to dredge the river.

He is tired of asking for this Visa from the US Embassy in Managua and has asked the Canciler to retire his diplomatic passport.

What he would like to do now is go to Venezuela and denounce to Hugo Chavez that the North Americans do not want to give him a Visa to go to the US and purchase this equipment which is in good shape and cheap.

He says that he is sure that Chavez will sell him the equipment or loan it to him, or give him credit to purchase it, or maybe even gift it to him.

He has to remove 3 million cubic meters of mud and sand which is impeding the navegation in 32 of the 180 kilometers of the river.

He claims that if this project was put out for bid, a foreign company would have to do it at approximately U$10 million dollars.
    -----------

Eden Pastora was named the Delegate of the Rio San Juan in 2007 by Daniel Ortega.

I used to have a lot of respect for Pastora in the Eighties but I'm afraid alzeimers or just good ole senility has slipped in. His family doesn't even want to know him now.

That's why He got 0.something % of the vote,He's an idiot. If He's willing to purchase that machine for U$800,000 dollars somebody in the States could use that money.

He has to go personally? What is he gonna do, load it on the truck himself?

Somehow I think if it was about dredging, he could have solved this by now.

I was thinking that, too. There's obviously more to this than is being reported.
