The Asamblea Nacional, today approved the bill which allowed for extra funding to the CSE, in order to carry out the municipal elections. The amount is U$3.5 million dollars, and passed with a vote of 77 for and 6 against.

During the debate the CSE were criticized for the lack of transparency they had with their previous funds, and the elimination of the "Movimiento Renovador Sandinista" (MRS) and the "Partido Conservador" (PC), from the ballot, and the big one was for the lack of observers to this coming election.
