Thread: Bagasse Particle Board

  1. #1

    Default Bagasse Particle Board

Theres a million uses for particle board, starting with cheaply made and sold wal-mart furniture. I was looking into sugarcane construction as an alternative construction method. Bagasse is the husk and waste material left from the sugarcane juicing process. It has many uses, and there has been some experimentation with making particle board out of it or even paper products. Could be an interesting product for a company like Sugar Estates FDC to get into, but the practicality of using it in Nicaragua is very little, not such a good product in areas with a lot of humidity and moisture in the air.

it seems like with all of the extra paint and other products to seal the particle board, it gets to the point where you minds well just use some other building material, in my opinion.

Ahh, they have something here like that and call it ¨Red Hand¨....

EpoxiMil is very popular here, I guess because it needs to set overnight.....

Call Fasco in Hialeah, Fla. They make all that stuff and sell it at a fair price. Their Fas-Stick 110 is $80-90 for a whole gallon. http://www.fascoepoxies.com/
