This company specializes in Roofs and also sells flooring. They have some known projects and a gallery of photos of some of their products.

I my self have made many entire production lines of this type of material. It is mainly referred to as corrugated metal. The last one that I put together was for a Mexican company. It has become very popular not only in CA but all over the world Germany, Briton, Canada and US to name a few. The outside texture can be smooth shinny or mat, any color or even have a pebbly finish. It’s great stuff very versatile not only in the horizontal poison such a roof application but also on the vertical as a siding.

The asphalt would help acoustics when it's raining, and the aluminum should reflect solar radiation so it's not an oven inside.

I wonder how the cost compares to Nicalit, which does both of the above with one material instead of three or four.

Nice thread 3F..Let me tell you that the curved roof on the picture is not originally curved but barely bent. The roof sheet is pretty flexible, of course the lenght and the slight curved roof helped a lot.

You are right, it does not look torchered into place.....

And BTW those laminas of zinc that came from Uncle Hugo after Hurricane Felix were similar in construction, steel center, tar and aluminum outer surfaces.......

But listen to this chicken $hit..........

For the sake of looking good on paper, they cut the 12 foot sheets in to 6 foot peices and then gave out the prescribed 9 pieces to the desaster victums........:LMAO:

I was told that several of the corrogated metal roof companies in Nicaragua can take special orders for specific lengths that they do not sell in the distributors and also curviture of the roof, if you want a curved roof they can roll it for the proper diameter, know of any of these companies?

It is a very simple process to change the length of the sheet to any size. As the material is rolled out. The cut off die at the end of the line is set to cut the length. to any size you want.

...Almost any size, depending on the size of the truck you're shipping it on and/or the highway regulations.

I didn't realize that before I remember we had to change this shower head model several times.

nice house, clever systems you put into it. The lock reminded me of the video "Alone in the Wilderness" and Dick Proenneke cabin that he built with a few tools. ( http://www.aloneinthewilderness.com/ )

the hinges in this picture were hand made, and the lock was pretty cool, but I can't find a picture.

I used t ocatch this video on PBS on occasion, if you can get a free copy, its worth it! They show a bunch of him constructing his house with just a few tools. he has a sod roof, and all sorts of wooden handmade contraptions.
