    American Town Hall Meeting for Matagalpa and Jinotega: June 18, 2009


    The U.S. Embassy will be holding a Town Hall Meeting at the Club Social in Matagalpa on June 18, 2009, from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM. All U.S. citizens and their family members are invited to attend this event hosted by Ambassador Robert J. Callahan. To attend the event, it will be necessary for at least one member of each family to present a U.S. passport at the entrance.



    Representatives from the Consular Section will be available to assist U.S. citizens with registering with the U.S. Embassy and to address questions regarding federal benefits and consular services. More information about all of the services provided by the American Citizens Services (ACS) unit can be found on the U.S. Embassy website: http://nicaragua.usembassy.gov/gener...ormation3.html.



    The Regional Security Officer will also be available to discuss security questions and concerns.



    The U.S. Embassy in Managua is located at Km 5 ½ C. Sur Managua, Nicaragua. The U.S. Embassy in Managua can be reached 24/7 at 011-505-2252-7100. For emergencies (deaths, arrests, etc.) after hours, U.S. citizens can call this phone number and ask for the Embassy Duty Officer. The ACS unit is also available by email at ACS.Managua@state.gov <mailto:ACS.Managua@state.gov> .


    General information regarding consular services is available by calling 011-505-2252-7888. Non-emergency services for U.S. citizens are available Monday through Friday, 1:00 to 3:00 PM, except on Nicaraguan and U.S. holidays





    For the latest security information, Americans living and traveling abroad should regularly monitor the Department's Bureau of Consular Affairs web site at http://travel.state.gov <http://travel.state.gov/> , where the current Worldwide Caution, Travel Alerts, and Travel Warnings can be found.     La Embajada de los Estados Unidos tendrá un Encuentro con la Comunidad Estadounidense en el Club Social de Matagalpa el día 18 de junio de 2009, de 4:00 PM a 5:30 PM. Todos los ciudadanos estadounidenses y los miembros de su familia están invitados a participar en este evento ofrecido por el Embajador Robert J. Callahan. Para participar en este evento, se deberá de presentar un pasaporte estadounidense en la entrada.



    Habrá representantes de la Sección Consular que podrán ayudar a los ciudadanos estadounidenses a registrarse con la Embajada Americana y con preguntas acerca de beneficios federales y otros servicios consulares.     I didnt see any wanted posting in there for one John Wayne Gooding wanted dead or alive so I guess the man hunt is off. I will send the cake with a file in it to someone else

    Ok here is the scoop, as I know it right now.....The Embassy has no knowolage of my sorry a$$ being want, or wanted.....

    Any seafood products I exported have to be signed off by the FDA.....
    To be called a "Has Been" I must surmise, is much Greater than to be called a "Nevah Been"... JW...
