    A page about him: http://www.touring-costarica.com/camilo.html

Camilo Zapata passed away today at the age of 92, he was suffering from Alzheimers.

Zapata is known as the founder of "Son Nica" and considered by many as part of the "Trio de Oro", along with Erwin Krüger and Tino López Guerra, whom gave birth to the Vernacular Music of Nicaragua.

Some of the music he is known for are "Caballito Chontaleño" "El Solar de Monimbó", "Minga Rosa Pineda", "Flor de mi Colina".

Here is "Flor de mi Colina" played by Jayro Gonzalez

I'd been listening Grupo Pancasan the last two weeks, their protest music smells like early 80's.
