Default US Citizens residing in Nicaragua

It was brought to my attention that US citizens living abroad might be subject to the proposed Federal legislation mandating private health insurance coverage, under penalty of fine or imprisonment. The alternative is to pay a 2.5% income surtax for Government coverage, which would be basically useless if you live abroad.

And since I don't have time to read 2000 pages of Congressspeak, I can't confirm this. I think this is it: http://www.opencongress.org/bill/111-h3962/text

It'll be tricky to be able to afford to pay your share while I'm in jail the next five years.

That is just plain stupid and just not right man!!!!!

Why make/force someone who lives in another country pay health care?
I am beginning to seriously scratch me head regarding Obama's government,I just hope It's not piojos(lice).

Seems that everything they are doing is downright backasswards, thou I gave him the benefit of the doubt when he first got elected ,I may start crucifying him,as in pass judgment

Why force anyone living in another country to pay any taxes when they get no benefit?

    "The Common Good."

Same justification they use for childless couples to pay for government schools.

The argument does not apply to everything equally, of course. They just want you to think it does.
