'65 Mustang

In the "Revista Cinematografica" 4th-10th of February 2010, there is a 1965 Ford Mustang listed for sale.

If it is what it shows in the ad, its a red coupe, I think I saw the guy selling this before in the Rotunda Jean Paul Genie. The Phone number listed is 8733-5872.

In the ad it says TODO NUEVO, then it says Todo Original, Motor Standard, Aire Condicionado.

No price listed...

That car is a classic, if what he says is true, it is worth way more than when it was new....

I've seen rustbucket classic Mustangs for sale at ridiculous prices like $3-6k. I mean rusty body, weeds growing through the engine, upholstery torn to shreds. I coulda bought a green '68 for $1800 back in 1989 but I didn't want to have to add A/C and fix a front end problem.

'68 Cougar grey with a 289 and (IIRC) a C4 and 85,000 mi.. Sitting in a field in 87.. $400.. Yes it needed a little body work but it was parked for 12 yrs so the rust damage (small by comparison to the 70's and 80's cars at the time ) was manageable... Interior was fine save for some split vinyl on the seats.. Yep been there...

The 64 1/2 coupe Mustang was my first car, bought it for U$900 dollars, put about U$3000 into restoring it, and sold it about 5 years later for U$6500. Fun car, but I wouldn't want it here in Nicaragua.

Not sure if it is the same one you're talking about 3F, but on the way up to my house, they have a red mustang for sale, white interior and looks in great shape. I will take some pictures today and post them on the site.

This is probably the same one, I have seen this guy pop up now and again, looks like he really needs to sell.

I forgot to take the camera yesterday, but the car was parked outside again. There was also a large shipping container, looks like the guy is moving out of the country. I will take the pictures today and post them later on or tomorrow.

Put over 200K miles on my '66 Mustang, crisscrossing the country. Pulled the head on that 289 on the road, just parked it outside a mechanics' shop that gave me a good price on reseating the valves and resurfacing the head. Had converted it into a camper, pulling the seats, building in a flat, carpeted floor with trap doors for storage. Still running like a top, body perfect, when I'd sold it for a song, $300, to some guy named McVay. Don't think it was the same dude who was fried for blowing up the OK City Fed building cause he was torqued about their rolling over that religious-cult camp in Waco, but I wonder. Strange times. And they keep getting stranger.

As promised, here are the pictures. The outside and the interior look in mint condition. I did not have a chance to look at the engine. No one was there to ask about the price, just a cuidador who told me to call the number on the for sale sign.

In keeping with Nica tradition, Mañana does not necessarily means tomorrow. I do have to admit there was a glitch on the system, so I could not respond. The master has fixed it and as promised here are the latest pictures and information about the car.
The owner is asking $11,500 (negotiable).

That would be a heck of a price...? Thing is.....title? Since it is out of country (USA), I am not sure that you could re-import it? If this is what one desired.

Looks sweet, but pictures can never show how much bondo is under the red lipstick. If it's as pristine as it looks, it could be a great investment.

I think one the reasons that is going for such a good Price is the fact that it only has the in line 170 Cid 6 cylinder boasting at best 90 hoarse power, not exactly a show stopper and there for also is equipped with the lighter suspension and braking system. From the out side they looked the same as the 64 but there were a lot of refinements in the 65 from the charging system, (this is when an alternator replaced the generator) to the interior trim IE. handles and swathes. If everything is in complete order (numbers), paint frame and all it could go for as much as $15,000 but only because it is a convertible. Now if it were a 289 Cid you would be looking $15,000 - $30,000 depending on the condition. So I think he is asking fair market value, nothing more nothing less.

Having been in the business...........sort of.........there are many factors in determining the value of just about anything.

There are serial numbers of the motor, the chassis, ets., that must match; so as to call it a classic of origional orgin. Otherwise, ole what's his name of North K would be producing replicas of the stang including the convertible.

Title, ownership and location are again important.

Shucks, I drive a 27 year old vehicle daily. It is a classic, but who wishes to purchase it and what are the possibilities of advancing its value?
