Default Motorized Bicycles that look like motorcycles :)

This company has 4 bicycles available at this time, in the near future they will be offering a cheaper way of doing this... bring your bicycle in, and for U$150 dollars they slap a motor on it. These 4 bicycles are a bit on the high side. The regular looking bicycle is selling for U$425 + IVA and the second one that looks like a Harley is selling for U$600 + IVA.

The gas tank holds 1 liter of fuel and can get you 150 km on that. It has a max velocity of 55 KMH

    looks pretty interesting.

i was thinking about trying to make one myself.

i was also wondering if you could ride ATV on the highway in Nicaragua? with us going to condega all the time an ATV would be perfect for easing around town.

You can ride an oxcart on the highway in Nicaragua. I can't imagine they'd have a problem with an ATV.

I was told by two people so far that you can get these motors for U$100 dollars near the Oriental market at a particular location, I am trying to find the name out so I can go check it out.

Nice looking bicycles but still a little high on the price. Maybe with time it will drop in price just like the plasma TV's. How will the policia nacional (babosos) deal with them on the street?

I'm pretty sure they don't issue any speeding tickets for them.

About 2 months ago La Prensa or El Nuevo Diario had a report on these motorized bicycles. Lots of fatal accidents with them, basically blaming the breaks, lack of helmet, and the people not knowing how to follow the rules of the road. I believe the Police are looking into how to control these bikes a bit more.
